Southam 5 – 4 Bilton Ajax
Ajax suffered from several injuries and unavailability’s in this match, the first 15 mins were fine, good concentration and marking kept Southam at bay, gaining momentum Bilton scored the first goal by Jamie Upton. Then disaster a crazy 10 mins of panic and misjudgement led to Southam scoring 4 goals!! 4-1 down at half-time.
Playing without substitutes in the heat looked as if it was beginning to take their toll!! However Ajax fought back with goals from Upton again, Connor George and twin brother Zach George!! 4-4 Ajax tired and a relieved Southam side scored the winner!! Ajax lost 4-5 a great comeback!!!

Bilton Ajax 2 – 0 Emscote colts
Zach George scores 13 in 5 games
This was an important game because Emscote were equal in the table with Ajax, the first half was very impressive, with attacking football, Dan and Jamie working hard to win ball and release the forwards, passing is being encouraged and at times it was great to see an end product such as a pass or cross. The quality through balls saw Zach George hit 2 good goals
2 - 0 halftime. The 2nd half saw Ajax hold off Emscote with rob and Wes outstanding at the back, James played controlled football and jack and Adams combined well on the left!! Conner kept trying to play with skill, so keep trying!!! Ben, Adam, and Sean came on and worked hard to defend and keep a clean sheet!!! Well done!!!
Sunday 16th November 2008
Bilton Ajax 3 v 2 Woodford Halse Under 14’s
This was a tough game against a team that were playing a physical game. An early headed goal by man of the match Wes gave Ajax confidence to continue to attack!! Dan and Jamie worked hard in midfield to release the strikers and Adam provided good crosses from the left, just before half time through Ajax conceded a scrappy goal from a corner!! 1-1 For 20 mins in the second half Ajax played some good attacking football with rob and James looking good at the back, Zach scored a screamer to make it 2-1 Woodford didn't give up and equalised 2-2 with Ajax pushing forward Adam hit a stunning winner !! 3-2 well done!!
Sunday 23rd November 2008
Leamington Juniors 6 v 1 Bilton Ajax
Tommy the glove saves a penalty and Dan in stitches !!11
What a game, played in horrendous swamp like conditions Ajax knew they would have to battle!! a much bigger side, Leamington won a lot of physical challenges, but we didn't give up, the key moment came early in the game when captain marvel Dan James received a nasty blow to the head, cutting his eye and swelling it up, he looked like he had done 12 rounds with Ricky Hatton !! Not sure who would win that one!! After a brave attempt to return he was forced to casualty. Adam was forced off with an ankle injury so a reshuffle resulted, 2 quick Leamington goals just before half time really knocked Ajax, but out of the blue Connor George hits a wonder strike!!! Ajax had 2 Zach goals ruled offside, 2 Wes free kicks narrowly missing so although rightly beaten Ajax fought and attacked all the way!!! A great moment came when Tommy Jennings spectacularly saved a penalty!!!! WELL DONE BOYS GOOD EFFORT!!

James Roberts showed his leadership skills this week by controlling the defence so that Wellsbourne could not mount any attacks, Tommy the glove could have stayed at home!!! goals by Jamie Upton, 2 Adam Gibbard 1 and unusually Connor George who notched 4, in the car home he couldn't even manage to thank his brother Zach for setting him up !! Ajax did not leave Wellsbourne alone and continued attacking throughout!!! Well done boys but remember to mark!! DJ pass the ball!!!

Bilton Ajax 1 – 4 Emscote Colts
League Cup 1st Round
Ajax suffered a heartbreaking cup exit at league rivals Emscote. Ajax controlled the game for 68 minutes after Zach scored in the first half from a great through ball from Dan, the defence led by Wes marked and intercepted everything to keep Emscote out!! Ajax missed several chances to finish the game, we hit the bar, post and had shots scrambled away, 2 minutes from full time Emscote hit a tremendous shot from way out, the wind was knocked out of 11 man Ajax, despite attacking in the 30 minutes of extra time Ajax eventually tired and lost 4 - 1
Sunday 11th January 2009
Bilton Ajax 2 – 0 Hillmorton Colts under 14’s
A tough game against local rivals, in windy conditions Ajax played strong attacking football to clinch a win, goals from Adam Gibbard and Zach George were the highlight, strong defensive play from jack, will, James, Robert and Wes meant that keeper Tommy didn’t make a save, Jamie and Dan drove the midfield with Jonny and Adam putting good crosses in !!! Strikers Connor and Zach were dangerous and perhaps should have scored more, but a good result in the league, well done boys!!
Sunday 1st February 2009
Alveston 7- 1 Bilton Ajax Under 14’s
Ajax went on the long journey to table topping Alveston and were met with a very small pitch, and a windy cold day!! tactically Ajax got it wrong, nobody took responsibility for marking, wide midfielders were staying up the pitch and watching as their own fullbacks then had to deal with 2 attackers, defenders were too late to the ball, being beaten in the 50/50 challenges and could not clear the ball. negative remarks made to their own players during the game does not help the team spirit, actually Ajax were 2-0 down at half time, then scored a great foot balling goal after Conner hit the post with a header, captain Dan got his reward for his hard work and slammed it in, but then Tommy who had made some great saves, gave the ball away within minutes and the game was over, 3-1 the teams were not 7-1 apart if Ajax had won tackles and defended, but Alveston scored 7 goals and we did not.
Sunday 22nd February 2009
Bilton Ajax 1 – 1 Whitnash Town
Scholesy strikes to win point!!!
Ajax took on 4th placed Whitnash and battled to a tremendous point!!
Captain Dan James scored the equaliser with a terrific left foot drive from outside of the area to give Ajax there deserved point. although Whitnash scored early it was Ajax who attacked constantly throughout the game, it was a really good team performance, the defence of Wes, Rob, Jack and Sean really concentrated and marked well, meanwhile, jay, James, Adam and of course Scholsey dominates the midfield, Zach and Connor always looked dangerous up front, but special mention to Will (Ballack) MANSFIELD WHO REPLACED THE INJURED GOALIE Tommy and handled the ball very securely, but we still wasted chances to win!!!! Great effort!!
Sunday 8th March 2009

In difficult conditions Ajax took on Southam in a battle for glory, the first 20 mins were nervous but the players began to settle and play football. finally a great ball from Dan James gave top scorer Zach George the chance to bury into the corner 1- 0, the second half the defence stayed strong against the long ball game and fought hard to keep Southam at bay !!! Ajax played better in the 2nd half and created several more chances, it was close and hard fought but Ajax fought hard to win!!

Sunday 15th March 2009
Kenilworth Wardens 1 – 4 Bilton Ajax Under 14’s
Outstanding team effort earns Ajax important away win.
The conditions (compared to the hail and icy wind of last Sunday) were perfect today. The lads started the game a little slowly but after 10 minutes the pace picked up and Connor took first blood. It was a good strike that found its target but the flag had gone up and the goal was disallowed.
Minutes later, confusion at the back resulted with Tommy being caught very wide of his goal and Kenilworth sneaked a ball in.
Captain Daniel James took on the responsibility of motivating the team and all of a sudden Ajax’s game came together. Control and passing became sharp and accurate and by half time, Ajax were 2-1 up thanks to Dan who took on 3 strong lads in Kenilworth’s defence and hammered the ball into the bottom corner of the net, and Zach who hit a beautiful left foot volley from beyond the box - Kenilworth’s keeper didn’t have a chance.
Bilton came out for the second half determined to make the result safe and continued to play the precise and mature football they had demonstrated in the first half. Captain Dan James made the inspired call to bring up centre back Wes for the set corner pieces. Wes got his head to a brilliantly delivered corner ball from Adam Gibbard and put in Bilton’s 3rd at the near post. From then on the opposition struggled to match the pace and accuracy of Bilton’s football and another skilful run from Dan to deep on the right wing resulted in a delightful cross which was read well by Connor who headed the ball home for the final 4-1 score line.
Bilton were exceptional today and did a strong and clinical job. Every player gave the game 100%. It was an impressive display. Jonny Townsend took the well deserved man of the match for his strong and physical performance, but it wasn’t an easy decision to make - every player put in a good performance today.
Keep it up lads!!
Sunday 5th April 2009
Whitnash Town 1- 0 Bilton Ajax
Woodwork denies Ajax
Ajax went to high flying Whitnash and matched them in every way, in a high energy game Ajax attacked from the 1st whistle to the last. Strong performances came from every player, Ajax conceded against the run of play but did not give in and tried very hard to equalise, Zach smashed a tremendous shot against the bar and Ajax missed 3 other good chances. In the run up to the cup final Ajax need to believe in themselves because they are playing good football.
Well done lads

Alveston 5 – 2 Bilton Ajax Under 14’s
Supplementary Cup Final
Ajax took on the Dion Dublin coached league winners Alveston in an exciting cup final. From the beginning Ajax began to play the creative football demanded from their UEFA B coach. Tommy the glove made great saves, Jack, Wes, Zach and James defended with great concentration, the passing midfield of will and Dan kept playing quality through balls through to rob and Connor, Connor with Berbatov like skill danced through the defence and struck the post, Ajax were undone with long balls and long shots from way out, the referee penalised Ajax as they played a high tempo attacking game and indeed warned a passionate coach!!!!! (ha ha ) eventually the more physical Bolton like style triumphed over pure football (Ajax style) but Ajax kept in the game from quality strikes from Rob and Adam, all the players and parents can be proud of their efforts.
