Banbury Irish Celts 0 – 12 Bilton Ajax U10’s
Saturday 25th September 2010
At 10:30 Saturday morning we had no idea how the game was going to sway, our starting line-up saw Olli Oldham, Jack College, Arron Dhokia, Lewis Cleary, Oliver Coop, Harry Coulthard and Liam Hearne all getting ready to kick off.
The first 10 minutes were equal with both teams defending and attacking well. Our first goal came from Lewis Cleary from a long range shot leaving Banbury Irish Celts shocked and confused as to wear it came from.
Banbury kicked off from the centre and Liam Hearne was straight to the ball winning it from the feet of the two Banbury players, and a handful of passes later and Liam Hearne had netted Ajax's second goal.
While parents on the respect lines were amazed at being 2-0 up Ajax scored another goal from our defender Arron Dhokia to make it 3-0.
The last ten minutes of the first half and Ajax were at the top of their game running the ball through Banbury and making one touch passes.
Harry Coulthard scored Ajax's 4th goal and we thought it could not get any better, with the smile still on his face Harry then scored his second goal making the score 5-0 then the half time whistle came.
At half time Harry, Jack, Oliver and Arron came off. George Oakes, Bradley Parsons, Aidan Hobley and Lewis Holtom were brought on.
the second half kicked off with Ajax straight on the attack and out of nowhere Ajax scored a great goal from George Oakes making it 6-0.
Banbury at this point were still battling hard but were no match for a strong Ajax side that were almost reading each others minds as to where they wanted the ball passed to them.
George Oakes then scored his second goal making it 7-0.
At this point I actually thought that this will be it or Banbury will score, could we possibly score anymore, and the answer was yes as Liam Hearne netted his second goal making the score 8-0.
Liam Hearne was the brought off for Harry Coulthard and Oliver Coop was also brought back on. Minutes later and Oliver Coop netted a great goal and it was shortly followed with another one from Oliver Coop making the score 10-0.
Banbury were still battling hard and had a few breaks but Olli Oldham our goal keeper was quick to the ball kicking it down the field to our strikers.
Ajax's next goal came from a great run from Bradley Parsons which i believe was his first goal for Ajax, so well done Bradley.
In the last few minutes Banbury were still impressing us with their commitment not to give up but this didn’t stop Harry Coulthard scoring his third goal making the score 12-0.
The final whistle came and the players shook hands and cheered each other. Oliver Coop received man of the match, well done Bilton Ajax, and well done to Banbury Irish Celts for not giving up and keeping your heads up.
