Bilton Ajax 3 - 3 Kenilworth Warden Colts.

An early goal to Ajax set the scene for the 1st half with a number of chances created by the Ajax side with both Liam Slaughter & Tom Parks causing havoc in the Colts defence. Bilton were going into the break with a 1-0 lead until a lack of communication between goal keeper Kyle and centre half Liam Parkes lead to a fortunate goal for Colts.

Colts began to press in the 2nd half and were much the better side for the 1st 20 minutes. Bilton got them selves 3-1 in front with a splendid counter attack and exquisite pass by Scott Wigginton leading to Tom Parks having a free run on goal that he finished with great composure. Liam Slaughter made it 3-1 with a volley straight from a corner that a premier league player would of been proud of. However Colts managed to claw there way back from 3-1 down to 3-3 with 10 minutes left to go. Bilton took control again in the final 10 minutes and got a late penalty. With Liam Slaughter on 2 goals and on for a hat trick,he took the penalty only to see the keeper stand his ground to save.

Once again Bilton had a strong start to the game with some great attacking football. They went into half time 3-0 up with goals from Liam S, Kian & Finlay. They were looking comfortable and were hitting on the break time after time.

Once again the 2nd half was a different story with Warwick colts scoring 2 in close succession and missing a penalty.It could of been worse if it wasn’t for the heroics of Kyle in goal. OUTSTANDING saves kept Ajax in the game.  Then after 15-20 minutes of the 2nd half Ajax got their second wind. With Alex Smith claiming 2 poachers goals & Liam Slaughter getting a well worked second goal.

Warwick Junior Colts 2 – 7 Bilton Ajax

A determined Ajax side were saved their blushes after an early brake was saved by goalkeeper Kyle Hyde. Tom Parks played the ball through the middle and the defenders deflected clearance fell straight to Keian Vans who ran on goal and smashed it in to open the scoring. After that the confidence oozed. Some superb midfield passing won an Ajax freekick which Harry Smith sent in for Levi Cawley to strike home for the second. Ben Mathews played a ball for the ever willing Tom Park but this attack came to nothing this time. A rare attack on the Ajax goal was snubbed out by an excellent goal saving tackle by Levi Cawley. Just before the break Keian got his second, created by plenty of in your face midfield pressure. Ajax went in to the break 3-1 up.

Straight from the kick off Ajax went on the attack and the following goal kick was run straight back by Levi for his second. Captain Ben Clarke ran down the right and hit the ball across, it went through the keepers hand and into the net for Ajax’s fifth. Keian looking for his hatrick had an excellent shot very well saved. Adam Milne cleared one off the line from a goal mouth scramble, a few minutes later Warwick were awarded a penalty. Kyle ‘The Cat’ Hyde saved it brilliantly as he hadn’t had much to do in the second half. Back on the attack Alex Smith played Scott Wigginton in for his goal which made it 6-1. Warwick scored their second consolation goal before Harry Smith smashed in a sweet left foot freekick for 7-2. A superb squad performance. As the manager  Steve Uranjek would say Come on Ajax

Ajax picked up where they left off last week. Levi Cawley was fouled just outside the box and Harry Smith went close with the free kick. Irish went one up against the run of play, this was just the shock Ajax needed. Some super passing from the midfield created chances for Keian Vans. Tom Park played a great ball through for Liam Slaughter to slot home to level the scores. A few moments later Tom Park was twisting and turning in the box trying to get a shot off he was taken down but a good advantage by the ref let Liam Slaughter curl one into the top corner. Tom then got himself on the score sheet with a good shot past the oncoming keeper. HALF TIME 3-1

In the second half Ajax had control all over the park, the back 4 held good lines, midfield made their tackles and the forwards ever willing to chase everything- Tom Park played another cracking ball through for Keian Vans to finish for 4-1. Harry Smith knocked in a corner which Liam Slaughter sliced in for his Hat-Trick. Irish had a couple of chances, they missed an open goal first and then a great save from Kyle Hyde in the Ajax goal. Substitutes disrupted the flow a bit for Ajax and Irish took advantage by poaching a couple of goals before yet another top pass from Tom Park set up Liam Slaughter for his fourth and Ajax’s sixth. Excellent Individual performances all over the field in a superb team display.

Bilton Ajax 2 – 1 Balsall and Berkswell

Ajax took some time to get the rust out of the system after the long break because of the weather. Kiean Vans was the first to wake with some great running down the down the left from a good first time ball from Levi Crawley. Kiean was off again a few minutes later but the shot just missed.

Halftime 0-0

In the second half Ajax upped the pressure with some good attacking football. Levi was brought down in the box and Harry Smith stepped up to slot home the resulting penalty for 1-0. Harry followed that up with a free kick just outside the box but the keeper got across to save it. Tom Park raced through onto a ball from Harry only to see his shot go just past the far post. Tom did manage to find the net via the post in the next attack. Then it was Balsall’s time to attack bringing a great save from Kyle Hyde in the Ajax goal and Tom Clark cleared the ball off the line. Kyle then made 3 superb saves in quick succession in a goal mouth scramble and another one just after. Balsall finally found a way past the keeper for a consolation just before the end.

Bilton Ajax 1 - 4 Whitnash Town

Sunday 16th January 2011 Supplementary Cup Semi Final

Ajax started off well in the early exchanges although an early scare when the Whitnash striker went clean through the middle one on one but Kyle ‘The Cat’ Hyde in the Ajax goal was up to the job with a great save. Levi Crawley took a quick throw to put Alex Smith through but his shot was saved. Ben Matthews made a super tackle to win the ball back. He gave it to Tom Park who played it through for Keian Vans to chase down the left; he took it on his stride and smashed it into the far corner of the net for 1-0. Ajax had a few more chances but if it wasn’t for the good covering at the back by Tom Clark and another great save from ‘The Cat’ they would have been more than 1-2 down at the break.

In the second half Whitnash took control of the game with an early goal for 1-3, and despite Tom Clark clearing of the line and a well worked corner going just over the bar Whitnash scored again for 1-4. Contest over and a disappointed Ajax side go out of the cup at the semi final stage.

Bilton Ajax 1 – 1 Banbury Irish

Ajax started the game slowly and were put under lots of pressure from Banbury only Kyle ‘The Cat’ Hyde in the Ajax goal kept them out. Some good passing in the midfield from Tom Park sent Keian Vans down the left. He got his shot off but this time did not manage to find the net. Another Irish attack saw them take the lead when ‘The Cat’ was lobbed and even Tom Clark bursting a lung to get back couldn’t clear the ball before it crossed the line.

In the second half Ajax were much brighter. A poor goal kick went straight to captain Ben Clark who smashed the ball straight over the keeper into the roof of the net for 1-1. Levi Cawley and Harry Smith worked hard in the midfield to win the ball back while Tom Park and Adam Milne worked the ball well down the right for Adam to supply a great cross which Keian was unlucky not to score from. Just before the end Irish attacked down the left and into the box only for Kyle ‘The Cat’ to produce a fantastic save to keep Ajax in it. A super second half performance by the whole team who were unlucky not to take the win.

The third rival meeting between these two sides this season, with the honours going to Ajax this time. Ajax made a good start with lots of pressure, Harry Smith sent over one of many corners Ajax had and Liam Slaughter knocked it in at the second attempt. Ajax had the ball in the net twice more but they didn’t count due to the offside flag. Levi Cawley took a quick long throw to Harry who clattered the post from well outside the box. Tom Park was one of the on form players for Ajax, he was involved in most of the excellent creative football.

In the second half Hillmorton held their own a bit more and both sides seemed to cancel each other out. Right near the end Harry’s corner bounced through the box with the unlucky Tom Park unable to stretch out a leg for enough to tap it in to the gaping goal.

Alcester Town 4 – 1 Bilton Ajax

A very flattering score-line on a windswept afternoon in Alcester. Liam slaughter was first to work the keeper early on. Keian Vann had a run into the box only to see his shot go just wide of the post. Alcester made an attempt on the Ajax goal but Kyle `THE CAT` Hyde was up to the job again. Levi Cawley took a long throw which got flicked on and Keian was in the right place to slot the ball home. Alcester levelled the score before the unfortunate Tom Clark was accused of handball. The resulting penalty was scored but had to be retaken as the ball was moving in the wind. `THE CAT` stood his ground for the retake which he comfortably pushed over the bar. Another quick throw from Levi got Liam in only to find the side netting.

Half time 1-1

The second half started very even. Ajax were unable to clear a throw and Alcester found the net 2-1. That was followed by a goalmouth scramble 3-1. To rub salt in the wound Alcester were clean through 4-1. Ajax had several chances through Adam Milne and Liam Parks. Liam Slaughter put one over the bar. Ben Matthews and Tom Park put in plenty of effort but it just would not go Ajax`s way.

Bilton Ajax 4 – 0 Kenilworth Warden Colts

A bright start in what was an open end to end game. After a few early attempts Levi Cawley took a quick throw to Liam Slaughter who lobbed the keeper to open the scoring 1-0. Tom Park made a great run into the box, but his shot brought a great save from the Colts keeper who made several great saves. At the other end Kyle ‘The Cat’ Hyde also made a good save and had very little to do for the rest of the game due to excellent performances from the back four.

Halftime 1-0

Early in the second half Levi shot from the centre circle over the keeper and into an empty net. Ajax were first to almost everything, winning possession all over the park. Levi popped up on the edge of the box after some great play down the left to get off a shot which seemed to go through the keeper for his second and Ajax’s third. Just before the end another attack seemed to falter when Keian Vann stuck out a foot and in it went for 4-0.

A well deserved score from a superb team display.

Leamington Juniors 4 – 3 Bilton AjaxU11

Ajax made a bright in this crucial game at the top of the table. Ajax made all the running and Liam Slaughter arrived at the back post in time to slot home Keian Vann’s cross. When Leamington did get the ball they punished Ajax with a goal on their first attack. Finley Blake saw his great shot go just over the bar after some great passing in the middle of the park from Tom Park, Levi Cawley and Harry Smith. Tom Clark cleared the ball of the line from what seemed a certain goal. Leamington scored another from a corner to go into the break 2-1 up.

Early in the second half Keian found the net for 2-2. He got his second a few moments later with a rare header for 2-3. Kyle ‘The Cat’ Hyde made several good saves but could do nothing to stop Leamington’s equaliser for 3-3.

Leamington nicked the winner when Ajax failed to clear a corner which made it 4-3.

Bilton Ajax 4 – 1 Leamington Juniors

Ajax started the game well with Liam Slaughter having a shot almost straight from the kickoff. Ajax played a passing game and it wasn’t long before Liam got himself on the score sheet after running on to a through ball and rounding the keeper. HT 1-0

In the second half Ajax were superb. Tom Park played a through ball down the middle and Adam Milne won the foot race before coolly slotting past the advancing keeper. 2-0. Tom then got himself a goal courtesy of some poor goalkeeping. 3-0. Adam picked up the ball on half-way, beat the defender and set off down the line and supplied a super cross which Scott Wigginton arriving at the back post slotted home for 4-0. Leamington managed a consolation before the end.

The whole of the Ajax side could have been man of the match and you would have to say an outstanding team performance. Well done to all the players.

Balsall & Berkswell 3 - 1 Bilton Ajax

Ajax started brightly and had the better of the early exchanges. Liam Slaughter hit the post and the Berkswell keeper saved bravely at the feet of Finley Blake. Ben Matthews made some great tackles and supplied Tom Park and Keian Vann down the left who crossed to Ben Clarke who shot just wide. Berkswell took the lead against the run of play, and despite a good save by Kyle 'The Cat' Hyde in the Ajax goal they went into the break at 2-0. Second half was much the same. One of many Levi Cawley long throws saw Liam shot just wide. Alex Smith had a shot well saved, followed by another which found the net 2-1. Liam Parks made another goal saving tackle which 'The Cat' collected Berkswell scored again after a goal mouth mix up to take the points.
